About Me
My name is Alexander Holcomb, and I am a writer from East Tennessee living in Costa Rica. I love writing, but if you write, you know how excruciating the publishing pipeline feels sometimes. My Substack lets me experience the freedom of putting work out there without someone else’s approval.
100-word stories display the ethos of this Substack. The form forces me to think less before publishing—off the top of the dome. I’m the first to say that these stories are raw, but some might be the most honest pieces I publish.
I will also share links to my short stories published elsewhere. The most recent one is pinned to the homepage.
About Paid Subscriptions
Paid subscribers receive access to my personal stories and undisclosed thoughts that don’t conform to traditional publication styles. These pieces will give the reader a better understanding of my process, mind, and writing style. I only want to share these stories with people who believe in my work—not just any critic who wants to read my least polished and most vulnerable words.
Each month, subscribers can expect one extra 100-word story and a short blog between 500-1,500 words about writing or travel, often adapted from my own journal. I will also share short stories with paid subscribers that can only be found here. Paid subscribers will receive full access to story archives as well.
